What to do With the Build-A-Flower from Altenew Yellow Edition

Floral Build-A-Flower from Altenew

Hello, and thanks for visiting! Today I'm going to talk about how to use those #buildaflower from Altenew! This is the last one of this series. Here, I used the yellow version of the flower I stamped.

A card created with Altenew Build-a-Flower Camelia Japonica.
Altenew Build a Flower

I hope that you enjoyed the cards that I did in my previous blogs that showcased the pink and blue version of the Camellia Japonica Stamp and Die set from Altenew!

For my dies I love using my Gemini Jr in cutting these items out, it makes things so easy! I also put my Gemini Jr. on a turntable, that way I put the plates in on one end, turn it around and then grab them from the other side.

For the background, I used the Marbled background stamp from Stampin Up that I purchased second-hand. The ink that I used on the flower I will list in order from the first to the last color used. First is 1. Summer Sun-Stampin Up, 2. Slippery when Wet-Simon Hurley, 3. Mustard Seed Distress Ink-Ranger, and finally 4. More Mustard-Stampin Up. The leaves have 1. Pistachio-Stampin Up, 2. Over Zealous-Simon Hurly and 3. Mowed Lawn Distress Ink-Ranger.

The Marbled background is inked with Slippery When Wet. I chose to lay the stamp on its back, ink it up and then add the cardstock to it. Then I burnish it well with my fingers to transfer the ink. You can add a piece of scrap paper over top before you burnish to keep your hands clean. :)

I added the Build a Flower die-cut on the corner and trimmed the edges off. I used those edges like I did in my previous blue version of the card and added them next to the larger piece of the flower. Next, I added the leaves.

I had previously cut out a sentiment shape from the Stampers Journey "Special Day" die set. I am sorry, I can not find this for sale anymore. I purchased it when it was on clearance. I thought it was too big so I used the smaller version and swiped some Mustard Seed Distress Ink on it to match the card. To give it some texture I then splattered it with water. The sentiment I chose was the "difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations" stamp from the Scrapbook.com - Clear Photopolymer Stamp Set - Heartfelt Encouragement. Then layered that on top of the larger shape.

All of the supplies are linked below and I will try to include multiple sources so you can choose if and where you want to purchase from. Affiliate links may be used and this is at no extra cost to you. I really appreciate your support if you choose to, it lets me know that you enjoy what I am sharing and encourages me to do

more! Please tag #tranquillenscrafts if you use any of my ideas for your projects. I would love to see if I have inspired anyone!
